Common Refrigerator Problems We Fix
Refrigerator Not Cooling
This is the number one reason people call us. If your fridge is running but not cold or not cooling evenly, there are several possible causes. A dirty condenser coil, a failing evaporator fan, a bad thermistor, or a refrigerant issue. We diagnose it properly and fix the actual cause, not just the symptom.
Ice Maker Not Working
Ice maker stopped making ice, producing too little, making hollow cubes, or dumping a flood of ice at once? We repair ice makers on all refrigerator types including French door and side-by-side units. Most ice maker repairs are done same visit.
Water Dispenser Not Working
No water coming out, water dispenser dripping constantly, or water tasting off. These issues usually come down to a water inlet valve, a frozen water line, or a filter issue. We track it down fast.
Refrigerator Leaking Water
Water pooling under or inside your refrigerator is almost always a clogged defrost drain or a failing water inlet valve. Left alone, it can damage your floors and create mold issues. Do not wait on this one.
Freezer Frosting Over
If your freezer compartment keeps icing up or the evaporator coils are frosted solid, your defrost system is not doing its job. Could be the defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost timer. We find out which one and fix it.
Refrigerator Making Loud Noises
Clicking, buzzing, rattling, or humming louder than usual. Refrigerators make noise, but not that kind of noise. Usually points to a failing compressor, condenser fan motor, or evaporator fan. We diagnose and repair it before a small issue becomes a costly one.
Refrigerator Not Defrosting
Modern refrigerators defrost automatically. When that system fails, ice builds up on the evaporator coils and the fridge loses its ability to cool properly. This is one of the more common refrigerator repairs we do across Atlanta.
Refrigerator Running Constantly
If your fridge never seems to shut off, it is working harder than it should and your energy bill will show it. Usually caused by dirty condenser coils, a failing door seal, or a temperature sensor issue.
Refrigerator Door Not Sealing
A worn or damaged door gasket lets warm air in and cold air out. Your fridge has to work overtime to compensate. Easy fix when caught early and a surprisingly big difference in how well your fridge runs.
Temperature Fluctuations
Food spoiling faster than it should, drinks not getting cold, freezer items partially thawing. Temperature inconsistency usually points to a faulty thermistor, a dirty condenser, or an airflow issue inside the unit.
