Common Oven and Stove Problems We Fix
β
Oven Not Heating
The most common oven complaint we get. If your oven runs but does not heat up, the bake element has likely failed on electric ovens, or the igniter is weak or broken on gas ovens. We carry these components on every truck and most oven heating repairs are done same visit.
β
Oven Not Reaching the Right Temperature
If your oven heats up but runs too hot or too cold, the temperature sensor is usually the culprit. It can also be a faulty thermostat or a control board issue. This directly affects your cooking results and is worth fixing sooner rather than later.
β
Burners Not Igniting
Gas burners that click constantly but won't light, or won't light at all, usually have a faulty igniter, a clogged burner cap, or a moisture issue. Electric surface elements that won't heat are usually a failed element or a bad infinite switch. We diagnose and fix both.
β
Oven Door Not Closing or Sealing
A door that does not seal properly lets heat escape and causes uneven cooking and higher energy usage. Usually caused by worn door hinges, a damaged door gasket, or a broken door spring. We carry common door components on every truck.
β
Self-Clean Cycle Not Working
If the self-clean function is not working or the oven locks up during a self-clean cycle, it is usually a door latch motor issue, a faulty thermal fuse, or a control board problem. We diagnose and repair self-clean issues on all major oven brands.
β
Oven Making Unusual Noises
Clicking, humming, or buzzing from your oven during or after operation can point to a failing convection fan motor, a relay clicking on the control board, or cooling fan issues. We identify the source and fix it correctly.
β
Control Panel or Display Not Working
If the control panel is unresponsive, flickering, or showing error codes, it is usually a control board failure or a faulty touchpad. We diagnose the specific cause and replace only what is needed.
β
Gas Burner Clicking Constantly
A gas burner that keeps clicking after you have already lit it or turned it off is almost always a moisture issue around the igniter or a worn igniter switch. It is annoying and worth fixing β a constantly clicking igniter will wear out faster and eventually stop working altogether.
β
Broiler Not Working
If the broil element is not heating on an electric oven, the element has likely burned out. On gas ovens a broiler that will not ignite usually has a faulty igniter or a gas valve issue. Both are straightforward repairs in most cases.
β
Oven Light Not Working
A burned out oven bulb is a simple fix. But if the light socket itself is damaged or the door switch that activates the light has failed, that requires a proper repair. We handle both on every service call.
