Common Commercial Stove and Range Problems We Fix
β
Burners Not Igniting
The most common commercial range complaint we get. Burners that will not light or are producing a weak uneven flame usually have a faulty igniter, a clogged burner orifice, a gas valve issue, or a moisture problem. We diagnose the exact cause and fix it correctly β not just clean the burner and call it done.
β
Commercial Oven Not Heating
If the oven section of your commercial range is not heating, the most common causes on gas units are a weak or failed igniter or a faulty gas valve. On electric units it is usually a failed heating element or a control board issue. We carry these components on every truck and most oven heating repairs are done same visit.
β
Pilot Light Keeps Going Out
A pilot light that will not stay lit is usually a thermocouple issue. The thermocouple senses the pilot flame and if it is worn or dirty it will shut off the gas valve even when the pilot is lit. Thermocouple replacement is a quick repair we complete same visit in most cases.
β
Gas Smell From Range
A gas smell near your commercial range should always be treated as an emergency. It can indicate a loose gas line connection, a faulty gas valve, or a damaged burner component. Stop using the equipment, ventilate the area, and call us immediately. We handle commercial gas repairs safely and correctly.
β
Oven Temperature Inconsistency
A commercial oven that runs too hot or too cold directly affects food quality and consistency. Usually caused by a faulty temperature sensor, a worn thermostat, or a control board issue. We test the full temperature control system and calibrate or repair as needed.
β
Burner Clicking Constantly
A commercial gas range burner that keeps clicking after being lit or turned off is almost always moisture around the igniter or a worn igniter switch. In a busy kitchen this is a common issue. We carry igniter switches on every truck and this is typically a quick repair.
β
Oven Door Not Sealing
A commercial oven door that does not seal properly loses heat, causes uneven cooking, and wastes energy. Usually caused by worn door hinges, a damaged door gasket, or a broken door spring. We repair and replace commercial oven door components on all major brands.
β
Control Knobs and Valves Failing
Commercial range control knobs and gas valves wear out from constant use in a busy kitchen. A valve that sticks, leaks, or does not shut off completely is a safety issue. We replace faulty gas valves, control knobs, and valve stems on all major commercial range brands.
Convection Fan Not Working
If the convection fan in your commercial oven is not running, food will not cook evenly and baking results will be inconsistent. Usually a failed fan motor or a broken fan blade. We carry common convection fan components on every truck.
Range Not Producing Enough Heat
A commercial range that is not producing full BTU output usually has a partially blocked burner orifice, a failing gas pressure regulator, or a gas supply issue. We diagnose the full gas system and identify the exact cause of reduced heat output.
